Crosstown

Neighborhood VC · Vice City Vice-Dale County

Crosstown is a Vice City neighborhood due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, aptly named for its position around the major interchange of Interstates 404 and 97 in the heart of the city. It was first identified via the HUD in the September 2022 leaks as Lucia drove north toward neighboring Stockyard, and it featured prominently again in the December 2023 leak.

First Trailer Locations

Rockstar’s first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer showed a street takeover at an intersection beside What’s Cooking at 0:45. At 0:51, it cut to the Interstate 404–Interstate 97 interchange. A customized Bravado pickup appears immediately afterward, at 0:52, with a rear-window sticker that names Crosstown directly.

The trailer footage places two of the area’s identified businesses, What’s Cooking and Jack of Hearts, among the locations associated with Crosstown. Vice City Pawn is also listed within the neighborhood. Rudi is identified as a Crosstown resident.

Miami’s Overtown Influence

Crosstown draws from Overtown, a neighborhood in Miami, Florida. The connection is reflected most clearly in the name and in how the neighborhood is positioned within Vice City.

Its placement near the I-404 and I-97 junction aligns with the crossroads idea behind its name, while Stockyard lies along the northbound I-97 route from the area.
