Crowex
Watch manufacturing ST · Statewide
Crowex is the GTA series' luxury watchmaker, spanning both the 3D and HD Universes; in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas its gold and silver models were the priciest watches available, sold at Didier Sachs under a slogan sneering that its customers were too rich to care what time it is. The brand is expected to reappear in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Rolex and Tudor References
Crowex draws heavily on Rolex and Tudor watches. Its logo and watch styling follow those manufacturers’ visual language, while the silver and gold San Andreas watches resemble Rolex Datejust models. The Crowex emblem also used the same design as the map pointer in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
No GTA VI-specific Crowex location, trailer timestamp, screenshot, promotional appearance, model range, or Leonida retailer is identified here.
Online Retail and Rivalry
In Grand Theft Auto Online, Crowex watches can be bought from clothing stores. Organisations may also keep and sell Crowex watches obtained as loot. The brand is positioned against the lower-priced Kronos line: inscriptions on purchasable Kronos watches state that Kronos will outpay Crowex for product placement.
Crowex advertising returned around Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto V with the line “Strap On Time”. A GTA Online Chronosphere model combines design cues associated with Rolex’s Sea-Dweller and Tudor’s Black Bay.
Stores, Websites and Street Talk
Grand Theft Auto IV placed a Crowex shop in Leftwood, Alderney, and listed the company among the brands on Peepthatshit.com. In Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, African American drug dealers offering discounted drugs could describe their stock as “Crowex quality at Gaunt prices”.
Crowex’s earlier San Andreas presence also extended beyond retail: wealthy pedestrians wore gold examples, while a Rodeo billboard stood near the Didier Sachs branch carrying the company’s 1992 advertising. That billboard misspelled the final “to” in its motto as “too”.
