Land animals
Ground-dwelling wildlife roaming Leonida’s forests, wetlands, and back streets — alligators sunning on Grassrivers airboat trails, cougars and foxes working Mount Kalaga’s tree line, and cats, dogs, raccoons, iguanas, and squirrels filling out the state’s more everyday roadside encounters. The largest of the three habitat groups, and the one most likely to wander into a mission uninvited.
Marine life
Fish, reptiles, and mammals working the Gulf, the Atlantic, and Leonida’s inland waters — dolphins and killer whales offshore, sharks and eels in deeper water, and sea turtles working the coastline. Anywhere Leonida borders open water, from Vice City’s marinas to the Leonida Keys’ dive spots, expect this group to be close by.
Birds
Wading birds and seabirds working the coastline, wetlands, and open water — flamingos and double-crested cormorants reading straight off the Everglades, plus ducks and seagulls rounding out the state’s more common sightings. The smallest of the three groups so far, concentrated around Grassrivers and the coast.
