Dogs

Dogs are domesticated animals that populated Los Santos and Blaine County in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online and are set to be featured once more in Grand Theft Auto VI, having also been referenced or heard in other series entries. Their history in the franchise stretches back to the original Grand Theft Auto, where a captive dog named Sasha had to be rescued and ransomed during the mission Heist Almighty - Introduction. Beyond simply walking alongside pedestrians, GTA V let players directly control certain dogs, such as Chop, and even play fetch with them.
