Double-Crested Cormorants

Double-crested cormorants are a bird species due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, with their presence confirmed by the game's own promotional material rather than any prior series appearance. A large flock was spotted flying along the coastline at Vice Beach in the establishing shot of GTA VI's first trailer, suggesting they will be part of Leonida's coastal bird life.

Double-crested cormorants are confirmed for Grand Theft Auto VI by Trailer 1 itself: at 0:11 a large flock flies the coastline in the Vice Beach establishing shot. That is a direct on-screen bird pass, not a debug string or audio-only hint.

The sighting places them in Leonida’s coastal bird layer alongside other shoreline species. No species variant list, nesting sites, or player interaction rules have been published beyond that trailer flock.
