Classique
Automotive manufacturer ST · Statewide
Classique is the series' maker of classic American luxury cars, with the Stallion and Broadway its only known models; the absence of modern vehicles or active branding suggests the company is defunct in-universe. No Classique vehicle has been confirmed in official GTA VI media, though a clip from the September 2022 leaks hints at the brand's presence in the game.
GTA VI leak appearance
A September 2022 GTA VI leak included a world-event clip linked to Wyman in which two cardboard boxes carried the Classique logo. The boxes were filled with vehicle parts. This is the specific material connected to Classique in GTA VI; no Classique-built car appeared in leaked footage or official game media.
Oldsmobile-derived identity
Classique appears to draw on the defunct Oldsmobile marque. Its French name means “classic,” creating a wordplay counterpart to Oldsmobile’s “Old,” while the emblem has elements resembling both Saturn Corporation’s badge and Oldsmobile’s logo used after 1996. The GTA IV Sabre GT’s Oldsmobile 442 influence also helps explain a scanner naming inconsistency involving the brand.
Earlier-game brand changes
Classique had been planned for Grand Theft Auto V: its name and logo remained in police-scanner recordings and game files, but the manufacturer was not otherwise used. When the Stallion arrived in the enhanced edition, it displayed Classique badges. The interface and police scanner nevertheless identified that vehicle as a Declasse, preserving a mismatch between its visible branding and its listed maker.
A related inconsistency occurred in Grand Theft Auto IV, where police-scanner dialogue called the Declasse Sabre GT a “Classique Sabre GT.” This may have followed the car’s 442-inspired design rather than its Declasse classification.
