Wonder Whale
Statue LK · Leonida Keys
The Wonder Whale is a roadside statue and tourist stop due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI on Key Lento in the Leonida Keys, Mariana County, where an official screenshot shows a pastel-painted whale looming over the Keys Causeway with a gift shop directly behind it. The attraction parodies Betsy the Lobster on Plantation Key in Islamorada, Florida, while its gift shop draws on The Rain Barrel artisan village.
Official Leonida Keys Screenshot
An official Grand Theft Auto VI image places the Wonder Whale beside the Keys Causeway on Key Lento. The roadside attraction takes the form of a whale sculpture painted in pastel colours, projecting outward above the roadway. A shop building stands immediately behind the statue in the image.
The screenshot identifies the attraction with the Leonida Keys area of Mariana County, Leonida. It establishes the Wonder Whale as a tourist-oriented landmark in Grand Theft Auto VI rather than merely a background object mentioned without an on-screen appearance. No trailer timestamp, gameplay use, price, manufacturer, variant, or mission connection has been shown.
Islamorada Statue Inspirations
The Wonder Whale draws its main visual joke from Betsy the Lobster, the large lobster statue in Islamorada, Florida. Betsy stands on Plantation Key; the GTA VI counterpart replaces that lobster with a whale while retaining the idea of an oversized roadside animal attraction on a Keys island.
Its adjoining shop has a separate real-world basis. Rather than being attributed to the statue alone, the building behind the Wonder Whale takes inspiration from The Rain Barrel artisan village, an arts-and-shopping complex situated behind Betsy the Lobster. The available material names no other Grand Theft Auto appearance for the Wonder Whale and does not identify comparable in-game attractions.
