Daiquiri Republic

LK · Leonida Keys

The Daiquiri Republic is an unrecognized micronation claiming sovereignty over the Leonida Keys, due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. Evidence of it so far is all flag imagery, a daiquiri glass inside a sun ringed by stars, spotted on a pillar sticker inside The Rusty Anchor in the second trailer, on a Tulip's bumper sticker in the first, and in what appears to be a conventional flag elsewhere.

Trailer sightings in Key Lento

The second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer places a partly obscured rectangular Daiquiri Republic decal on a pillar within The Rusty Anchor, a Key Lento location, at 1:31. Its design shows a daiquiri glass set within a sun motif, with stars around it. Earlier in that trailer, at 0:23, a partly visible, standard-looking version of the flag appears on a pole beside Jason Duval’s stilt house in Key Lento. These are separate presentations of the same claimed republic’s imagery within the Leonida Keys.

First trailer vehicle decal

A related sticker is visible at 1:11 in Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer. It is attached to the rear bumper of a Tulip and resembles the republic’s flag design. The available footage identifies the vehicle only as a Tulip; it does not provide a manufacturer, price, trim, modification list, or mechanical information.

Conch Republic inspiration

The Daiquiri Republic draws on the Conch Republic, a real micronation declaration that began as a claimed breakaway by Key West, Florida. The Conch Republic name later came to cover the wider Florida Keys. Its GTA VI counterpart substitutes the daiquiri for the conch reference. The cocktail name also points to Ernest Hemingway, a Key West resident associated with creating his own daiquiri variation.
