La Perle
Neighborhood VC · Vice City Vice-Dale County
La Perle is a neighborhood of Vice City due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, characterized as an ethnic enclave home primarily to Haitian immigrants along with residents from elsewhere in the Caribbean. It first appeared in the September 2022 leaks in a clip of Jason Duval trespassing at a local auto repair shop, where a Haitian-themed mural reading 'S4SLIFE' suggests a strong San4San gang presence in the area.
First-trailer street sequence
La Perle made its official Grand Theft Auto VI appearance in the first trailer. At 1:05, dirt-bike riders travel along a residential street identified with the neighborhood. The footage places La Perle within Vice City, in the state of Leonida.
The scene is the earliest official visual presentation of the neighborhood, separate from its earlier appearance in the September 2022 leaked material. No named street, event, mission, vehicle model, or gameplay function has been established for the dirt-bike sequence.
Second-trailer location confirmation
The second trailer returned to the same area in a driving shot involving Jason Duval. A warehouse facade carries the neighborhood name near the top of its mural, directly identifying the location as La Perle. This is also the warehouse previously visible opposite the auto repair shop shown in leaked footage.
A bulletin board visible at 1:43 names two local destinations: La Perle Caribbean Market and the Haitian-American Cultural Center. These are the only specifically identified points of interest shown for the neighborhood in the trailer material.
Road and elevated rail
The second trailer’s warehouse scene shows an elevated rail route in the background. The line runs above Vice-Dale County Road 561. An official Vice City screenshot also depicts that road passing through La Perle beneath the same elevated railway.
Another official screenshot shows two gangsters at the auto repair shop associated with the neighborhood’s leaked footage. The available material identifies neither the shop’s name nor the characters shown there. An unnamed derelict warehouse and an unnamed auto shop are also associated with La Perle.
Little Haiti foundation
La Perle draws directly from Little Haiti, the Miami, Florida neighborhood. The connection was stated explicitly in the September 2022 leaked debug menus, where the real-world counterpart was named in listings for world events.
Its name comes from La Perle des Antilles, a French colonial-era nickname for Haiti. The phrase translates as “The Pearl of the Antilles.” The Haitian and Caribbean character of the fictional neighborhood aligns with the Little Haiti basis, while the confirmed named locations include a Caribbean market and a Haitian-American cultural center.
Named local businesses
Two businesses are identified for La Perle: Jeudy’s Food Depot and Simon’s Tires. The material does not establish their exact locations, ownership, available goods or services, prices, or whether players can enter them.
No earlier Grand Theft Auto appearance is identified for La Perle. Its documented history begins with the 2022 leaked GTA VI footage and continues through the first and second official trailers and the official Vice City screenshots.
