Catalan Boulevard

Boulevard VC · Vice City

Catalan Boulevard is a Vice City street set to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, referenced on an Interstate 404 exit sign in the first trailer and seemingly carrying a segment of U.S. Route 3 through Stockyard and Downtown Vice City, past the Sahara Arena and an amphitheater. It is a rendition of Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami and takes its name from the Catalan people.

Vice City landmarks

The Vice City Arts Center is identified as a location on Catalan Boulevard. The boulevard’s GTA VI depiction also places the Sahara Arena and an unnamed amphitheater along its route. These are the named or indicated landmarks associated with the road; the amphitheater has not been given a name.

Catalan Boulevard is shown or referenced only in GTA VI material described here. Its connection with the arena, amphitheater, and arts center concerns Vice City rather than another Leonida region.

Miami boulevard counterpart

Catalan Boulevard draws on Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami, Florida. In Miami, Biscayne Boulevard forms part of U.S. Route 1; the in-game road’s association with U.S. Route 3 follows that real-world comparison.

Its name also adapts the geographic naming pattern behind Biscayne Boulevard. “Biscayne” relates to Biscay in Spain’s Basque Country, while “Catalan” refers to the people of Catalonia, another Spanish region. No appearances in earlier Grand Theft Auto games are identified.
