The Sumerian

An official Grand Theft Auto VI screenshot places the hotel on Catalan Boulevard in Downtown Vice City, within Vice-Dale County, Leonida. The image shows its parking structure beside the tower and situates the building near the Vice City Arts Center.

The visible sign does not use the property’s full name: its placard reads “Hotel Vice City.” No trailer timestamp, interior view, guest service, room type, price, or gameplay function has been shown in the available material.

The Sumerian’s branding draws on the Sumerians of southern Mesopotamia. Its clock-shaped logo refers to their development of sexagesimal time measurement during the third millennium BC.

Sexagesimal means a base-60 system. The same association explains why a modern Vice City hotel carries the name The Sumerian rather than a name directly tied to its Downtown setting.

Its real-world model is the hotel at 1633 North Bayshore Drive in Downtown Miami, Florida. The GTA VI building adapts that hotel as a tower linked with a separate parking podium.

The publicly shown exterior specifically provides the podium, the Catalan Boulevard setting, the nearby arts center, and the “Hotel Vice City” sign; it does not establish further architectural features or changes from the Miami building.
