LU-83
Penetrating oil ST · Statewide
LU-83 is a penetrating lubricant oil brand due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, its aerosol cans appearing twice in the second trailer, on a dresser and again on a tool cart inside Brian's Boat Works & Marina. It reads as a clear parody of WD-40, with its letter-number name contrived to spell out 'lube'.
Second Trailer Sightings
LU-83 is visible at two separate points in Grand Theft Auto VI’s second trailer. At 1:42, an aerosol can is placed on a dresser within a room. A second can appears at 2:31, positioned on a tool cart at Brian’s Boat Works & Marina.
These trailer shots establish the product as environmental dressing in both a domestic interior and a marina work area. No use of the oil, product variant, price, manufacturer, or gameplay function has been shown.
WD-40 Name Reference
The brand is modelled on WD-40, the real-world penetrating oil. Its title follows the same letter-and-number format as WD-40 while forming a lube-related word when read aloud: “LU-83” produces “lube.”
No earlier Grand Theft Auto appearance is identified for LU-83, and the available material does not place it alongside any other in-game lubricant or workshop-product brand.
