Lucky Plucker
Fast food chicken restaurant PG · Port Gellhorn
Lucky Plucker is a fried chicken fast-food chain from Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online that is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. The chain sells sandwiches and fried chicken under a mascot depicting a chicken with a plucked, cooked body but an intact head, and in the earlier games it expanded from a lone Davis restaurant to additional locations.
Lucky Plucker Along I-404
Lucky Plucker appears in Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer at 1:10. A branch is visible beside Interstate 404 in Port Gellhorn, accompanied by a nearby roadside sign advertising the restaurant.
This Port Gellhorn sighting is the material specifically shown for the chain in GTA VI. It establishes Lucky Plucker as part of Leonida’s western coastal region rather than relying only on its earlier Los Santos appearances.
Popeyes and Haven Burgers Influences
Lucky Plucker’s present logo and visual identity resemble Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and point to a parody of that fried-chicken chain. Its older, pre-2018 logo appears to draw from Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken instead.
The restaurant buildings used for the Davis and Little Seoul outlets in Grand Theft Auto V were based on a former Haven Burgers property in Los Angeles’s Crenshaw District. That real building has since been demolished.
Davis and Little Seoul Sites
In Grand Theft Auto V, Davis had the only operating Lucky Plucker restaurant, while a second outlet in Little Seoul was being prepared. The Little Seoul location stood next to the Weazel News Building and carried an “opening soon” status, with renovation work still apparent.
The two Los Santos buildings were almost the same in form. Each had large menu displays on the walls and another menu panel mounted on a sign at a building corner. In the original release, both locations used the same worn, dirty-looking blue menu design.
The enhanced edition changed the Little Seoul menu texture, replacing it with one copied from Horny’s Burgers. Davis retained its earlier menu board. In the GTA V Strangers and Freaks mission “Pulling Another Favor,” Franklin towed an abandoned vehicle from the Little Seoul restaurant’s parking lot.
Super Sport Branding Refresh
Lucky Plucker received a modest brand update with Grand Theft Auto Online’s Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series update. The refreshed look first appeared on the Hotring Sabre, changing the logo’s lettering and colour scheme while retaining the same chicken mascot.
That later-era branding also appeared on clothing added with Arena War and on vehicles including the Pegassi Zorrusso. The update therefore separated the newer visual treatment from the older restaurant signage and menu art still present at parts of the Los Santos locations.
Menus, Mission, and Errors
The old menu texture contained real-world Sprite, Fanta, and Barq’s stickers. These could be seen at both outlets in the original version, and at Little Seoul in the enhanced edition before a later patch altered the texture to remove them.
A placement error affected a light pole in the Little Seoul parking area: it did not sit correctly on the pavement, making the pole look as though it was floating.
