Limit
Credit card company ST · Statewide
Limit is a credit card company recurring in the series' fictional universe and expected in Grand Theft Auto VI, accepted as payment at storefronts across the in-game United States. Its name winks at the spending limit on credit cards, and its logo has appeared everywhere from Liberty City's Bawsaq Building to ATMs alongside rival cards Fleeca, Shark, and Want.
GTA VI trailer signage
Limit was shown on the entrance door of Uncle Jack’s Liquor in the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer. The sign used an updated Limit mark and appeared with Want, Shark, and Fruit Pay payment branding. This is the identified Grand Theft Auto VI appearance; no trailer timestamp, screenshot location beyond the liquor store, or regional placement is specified.
The revised logo differs from the earlier plain-text treatment by adding an orange globe-like form. Its design more closely follows the visual approach used by Discover, particularly the orange circular element associated with that brand.
Discover card inspiration
Limit draws on Discover, the real-world credit-card company. Its orange colour scheme parallels Discover’s branding, while the fictional name plays on the restricted amount available to spend through a credit account. The name also appears to allude to Discover it, Discover’s flagship card.
In The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, Limit branding appeared on cash machines with Fleeca, Shark, and Want. Those HD Universe-style brand appearances in that edition are treated as outside the canon of the original trilogy. The GTA VI version changes the logo again, bringing it nearer to Discover’s orange-sphere design.
