Jetsam

Jetsam containers appear aboard the BTN Delmar in Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer. This is the material specifically shown for the company in GTA VI; no trailer timestamp, Vice City location, or additional promotional image is identified. Jetsam is listed in the Vice City region as a shipping business.

Before GTA VI, Jetsam was represented around Los Santos by branded freight containers and port facilities. Its name was displayed at the main terminal entrance, while containers also appeared at the Port of Los Santos. A headquarters display there included national flags for Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Russia, France, and Ireland, suggesting overseas shipping links rather than confirming particular routes. In Grand Theft Auto Online, Jetsam also appeared as a small sponsor on custom 190z liveries. The V-STR’s Jetsam GT livery referenced the racing schemes used by Spanish energy and petrochemical firm Repsol.

Jetsam closely resembles Maersk Line, the real-world transport and logistics company: their logos use strongly similar lettering, and the terminal implication parallels Maersk’s ownership of Pier 400 at the Port of Los Angeles. Its oval mark also has similarities to the emblem of Kuehne + Nagel, another international freight company. The name uses the maritime-law term for ship equipment or cargo deliberately cast into the sea to reduce a vessel’s load and later washed ashore. Its logo appears to turn that idea into an image of a container floating on water.
