Hotel Dixon

Hotel VC · Vice City

Hotel Dixon is a hotel due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, standing on the Ocean Drive-inspired strip in Ocean Beach, Vice Beach, as shown in the first trailer. Vertical neon lettering spells out its name beside the flags of Vice Beach and the State of Leonida. It appears to be based on a real hotel at 1144 Ocean Drive in Miami Beach's South Beach, with the name seemingly honoring Lawrence Murray Dixon, that building's original architect.

First trailer appearance

Hotel Dixon was visible at 0:33 in Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer. The shot placed it in Ocean Beach, within Vice Beach in Vice-Dale County, on the road modeled after Ocean Drive. The appearance confirmed the building as part of the Vice City region rather than identifying any interior, services, guests, prices, or gameplay function.

Its exterior signage ran vertically up the side of the building in neon, spelling “Hotel Dixon.” Flags for Vice Beach and the State of Leonida appeared alongside it. No additional GTA VI promotional appearance, screenshot, mission connection, or earlier-game version is identified.

Hotel Victor inspiration

The design appears to draw from Hotel Victor, the real Miami Beach hotel at 1144 Ocean Drive in South Beach. The GTA VI building’s Ocean Drive-style setting and its hotel presentation connect it to that location; the available material does not identify other real-world buildings as direct models.

The Dixon name appears to refer to Lawrence Murray Dixon, Hotel Victor’s original architect. This is presented as an apparent naming reference, while the game’s trailer establishes only the fictional hotel’s exterior name and location.
