Canis is the series' American maker of light trucks, offering a lineup composed entirely of SUVs and pickups under a compass-star logo, and it is expected to feature in Grand Theft Auto VI. The name plays on the wolf-and-dog genus Canis and the constellation Canis Major, with a possible extra allusion to the giant star VY Canis Majoris.
