Buckingham
Aerospace manufacturer, Shipbuilder ST · Statewide
Buckingham is an American-Canadian vehicle manufacturer in the GTA series, best known for aircraft: it holds U.S. defense contracts for the Valkyrie and Pyro, builds the Maverick in a Canadian factory, and has even produced the Tug boat. Chiefly inspired by North American aerospace and defense firms such as Bombardier Aviation, it is expected to appear again in Grand Theft Auto VI.
GTA VI Evidence So Far
No confirmed Buckingham appearance in Grand Theft Auto VI is identified. There is no listed trailer timestamp, screenshot, promotional image, or Leonida location for the manufacturer, and no GTA VI vehicle model, variant, price, class, modification, performance detail, or gameplay quirk is given.
The only visual placement described is from Los Santos rather than Leonida: Buckingham’s emblem appeared in a window at the Luxury Autos dealership. This has been taken as a possible sign that the company had an automobile division, although the display does not establish that such a division existed.
Design Influences and Name
Buckingham’s aerospace and defence identity draws from Bombardier Aviation and Bell Textron in North America, with Airbus also cited among its influences. Its emblem in particular resembles branding associated with Rolls-Royce Holdings.
Its name may point to Buckingham in England, formerly the county town of Buckinghamshire, or to Buckingham Palace in London; the palace was represented in Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 and Grand Theft Auto: London 1961. Another proposed origin is Buckingham, Quebec, a Canadian town in a French-speaking province, matching the company’s Canadian connection.
