After Shaft

ECU manufacturer ST · Statewide

After Shaft is a fictional manufacturer of engine control units introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online with the Los Santos Tuners update, and it is due to carry over into Grand Theft Auto VI. Its presence in the new game is so far limited to a sticker spotted on a tool trolley inside Brian's Boat Works & Marina in the second trailer.

Trailer 2 Workshop Sticker

After Shaft was visible at 2:31 in Grand Theft Auto VI’s second trailer. Its name appeared among the decals attached to a tool trolley at Brian’s Boat Works & Marina. This is the only specifically shown GTA VI appearance: the trailer presented the brand as workshop signage rather than as a selectable part, product display, or vehicle modification.

The sighting confirms that After Shaft branding exists in the Leonida setting. No trailer material identified an ECU model, vehicle fitment, price, performance effect, or business location operated by the manufacturer.

Name and Gauge Joke

The fictional name draws on “shaft” as slang for the stem of a penis. Its logo reinforces that joke through a gauge-like needle positioned straight upward, rather than aimed toward the red-line area expected on a conventional speedometer.

The upward needle is therefore part of the brand’s visual wordplay, not evidence of a documented ECU specification or tuning feature. No comparable ECU makers, variants, or technical distinctions are identified for After Shaft in the material shown.
