Albany

Automotive manufacturer ST · Statewide

Albany is the GTA series' fictional American luxury marque, producing upscale cars, light trucks, and even the White Liner travel trailer, and it is expected to feature again in Grand Theft Auto VI. The company alternates between two badges, a crowned trapezoidal A and a crowned split rectangle, and in Grand Theft Auto V it operates a seemingly derelict dealership in Davis, Los Santos.

GTA VI Marina Sighting

Albany appears in the second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer at 2:31. Its name is visible on a sticker attached to a tool cabinet at Brian’s Boat Works & Marina. The sticker uses a blue, angular A containing a white crown, presenting a new version of the manufacturer’s emblem.

This is a confirmed brand reference in GTA VI promotional footage, rather than a shown Albany vehicle, dealership, or product line. The marina setting places the sighting within the game’s Leonida material shown in the trailer.

Cadillac and Other Influences

Albany is principally modelled on Cadillac, the American luxury-car manufacturer. That connection informs Albany’s identity as an American premium marque rather than a general-purpose vehicle maker.

Some Albany vehicles also draw from Lincoln and Buick designs. These influences sit alongside the Cadillac basis instead of replacing it, so the marque is not tied to a single real-world manufacturer in every vehicle design.

Its branding has varied across model eras. Newer vehicles generally use a clean sans-serif Albany wordmark, while older ones use a cursive name treatment. The company has also used more than one emblem at the same time, without a consistent division between those badges. A real American manufacturer called Albany once existed, but it is now defunct.
