Unnamed GTA VI shopping mall

Shopping center ST · Statewide

An 'Evergreen' shopping center in Waning Sands, Leonard County, Leonida, is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI; in the first trailer Lucia and Jason drive a Tulip past its pylon sign as Leonard County Sheriff cars stream the other way. High-end fashion logos on the sign suggest an upscale mall, and a triangular-roofed structure is faintly visible behind it.

Trailer signage and retailers

The shopping center’s pylon sign is visible at 1:00 in Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer. Beneath the partly legible Evergreen name, the sign identifies Waning Sands as its location. Its displayed retailer names include Ferruccio Tucci, Kowalski, Callus, Skala, This/That, MID and Alpha.

The sign’s fashion-brand logos point to an upper-market tenant mix. No interior, storefront frontage or individual business premises have been shown; the trailer view is limited to the roadside sign and the building shape seen behind it.

Real-world design references

The sign design appears to have been modelled on the Bayfair Center sign in San Leandro, California. The resemblance is particularly close in the pylon’s overall arrangement, making Bayfair Center the clearest named visual reference for Evergreen’s roadside marker.

The center itself has also been compared with strip-mall development around Broward County’s southern edge in Florida. North Miami Beach and Cooper City are the named comparison areas. That connection is an interpretation based on the barely seen triangular roofline and the nearby road layout, rather than a confirmed one-to-one recreation.
