Te Invito

Restaurant ST · Statewide

Te Invito is a Mexican restaurant due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, first spotted in the September 2022 leaks at a corner of Leonida State Route 61 in Hamlet during a police-chase clip, complete with a banner advertising tacos and burritos. The Spanish name roughly means 'I invite you' or 'my treat', a phrase commonly used when offering to buy someone a meal. The wiki identifies its real-world model as the now-closed El Toro Taco Mexican restaurant on South Krome Avenue.

Leak Footage at Hamlet Junction

The documented GTA VI sighting places Te Invito in the September 2022 leaked police-pursuit footage. The restaurant stood on a Hamlet corner where Leonida State Route 61 meets an unnamed street. It appeared as part of the chase environment rather than in a dedicated restaurant sequence.

A “Now Serving” banner was visible along the building’s side. Its Mexican-food advertising named tacos and burritos, supplying the only described menu-related detail. No trailer timestamp, promotional showcase, labelled screenshot, or additional Leonida branch is identified for Te Invito.

South Florida Restaurant Model

Te Invito is based on El Toro Taco, a Mexican restaurant in Homestead, Florida, that has since closed. El Toro Taco operated on South Krome Avenue. The connection identifies that business as the real-world model, without assigning particular exterior features, signage elements, or menu offerings to it individually.

The name uses Spanish phrasing associated with taking someone out for food. It can mean “I invite you,” while also carrying the sense of offering to pay for a meal, such as “my treat.”
