Old Gen

Fashion brand VC · Vice City

Old Gen, abbreviated OG, is a streetwear brand from Grand Theft Auto V and Online that is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. It specializes in baseball caps but also produces shirts, sweatshirts, and shoes, with its gear previously worn by characters like Stretch and sold in accessible clothing stores.

Vice City trailer sighting

At 1:59 in Grand Theft Auto VI’s second trailer, Dre’Quan Priest wears a Vice City Narcos cap bearing the Old Gen logo. This is the identified GTA VI appearance for the brand and places its visible return in Vice City. No additional GTA VI products, retailers, or wearers are identified alongside that trailer shot.

New Era parody roots

Old Gen is modeled on the New Era Cap Company. The connection comes from both companies’ emphasis on headwear and from the deliberately opposite names: “Old Gen” contrasts with “New Era.” The in-game branding follows that cap-company association rather than representing an unrelated fashion label.

Earlier game appearances

Before its GTA VI trailer appearance, Old Gen appeared in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. In Grand Theft Auto V, its mark was used on several caps available to Franklin, while unnamed gang members also wore the label. Tracey De Santa had a pair of Old Gen shoes in her bedroom, providing an earlier example of the brand extending beyond caps.
