At 0:32 in Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer, the Boardwalk Hotel is visible along Vice Beach’s Ocean Drive-style roadway. Its placement is identifiable through the adjacent Neptune Hotel. Rockstar also used the building in a Jason Duval screenshot and in the promotional site’s scrolling video featuring Lucia Caminos with Jason.

The visible upper storeys suggest rooms behind the second- and third-floor windows. Several windows show interior views, including televisions that appear to be switched on. These details indicate that more than the exterior façade may have been modelled, although accessibility of the rooms has not been confirmed.

Part of the hotel had already appeared in footage from the September 2022 Grand Theft Auto VI leaks. That clip showed only one side of the front exterior together with the projecting vertical sign, making it a more limited view than the later official material.

The hotel’s design was drawn from a real property in South Beach, Miami Beach, Florida.
