Enus
Automotive manufacturer ST · Statewide
Enus is a luxury automobile marque that recurs throughout the HD Universe of the series and is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. In-game lore describes it as a formerly British company now owned by a German automaker, a setup that mirrors Volkswagen's ownership of Bentley and BMW's ownership of Rolls-Royce. The brand is known for stately, high-end vehicles that are marketed as exceptionally exclusive.
Diamond Hood Ornaments
The Super Diamond and Super Drop Diamond carry no conventional Enus badge. Instead, each uses a bonnet-mounted ornament containing a genuine diamond, an apparent send-up of Rolls-Royce’s Spirit of Ecstasy. During police pursuits involving either model, dispatch dialogue identifies the vehicle as an Enus.
Albany’s Roosevelt Valor can also be fitted with the “Diamond Wing Badge” bonnet ornament. Although Albany manufactures that car, the optional badge is the same ornament used by certain Enus vehicles.
Rolls-Royce and Bentley Cues
Enus combines elements associated with both Rolls-Royce and Bentley, rather than standing in for only one of them. Its vehicles commonly use elongated body proportions and paired headlamps, reinforcing the formal styling shared by the marque’s luxury models. The diamond ornament on the Super Diamond and Super Drop Diamond is its clearest Rolls-Royce-derived detail.
Bentley Motors Limited succeeded Rolls-Royce Motors directly, and some Rolls-Royce models—including the Corniche—were also sold as Bentley Continental vehicles. That overlap may explain why Enus draws from both companies. Compared with many manufacturers, Enus offers little scope for aftermarket bodywork: only a small number of models have visual modifications. Its name is also likely a joke on the word “anus,” in the same vein as Annis.
