Ambrosia
City AM · Ambrosia Ambrosia County
Ambrosia is a city in Ambrosia County, central Leonida, due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, resting on the southwestern shore of Lake Leonida. Promotional text frames it as an old-school industrial town whose economy hangs on the Allied Crystal sugar refinery, with a local biker gang supplying most of everything else. Its real-world basis appears to be Clewiston, the sugar town on Florida's Lake Okeechobee.
Election signs and corporate backing
Grand Theft Auto VI material places Ambrosia in the middle of a mayoral race during the mid-2020s. Erin Henshaw appears to be the better-liked candidate. Campaign placards pair Henshaw’s message with Allied Crystal branding and the line “the sweet lifeblood of Ambrosia,” tying the sugar company directly to local electoral politics.
Allied Crystal is presented as the city’s largest employer through its large sugar-processing operation. The Final Chapter MC also has substantial regional pull, giving Ambrosia a second organized power base outside the company. The named facilities include the Allied Crystal Sugar Refinery, a Waste Transfer Services incinerator, a Xero station, and an unidentified car wash. Policing falls under the Ambrosia County Sheriff’s Office.
Clewiston and lake-country influences
Ambrosia draws most directly from Clewiston, Florida, a sugar-producing agricultural center beside Lake Okeechobee. The city’s sugar business and even its name reflect that connection: “ambrosia” is a word associated with exceptional sweetness.
The surrounding southwestern Lake Okeechobee area also informs the setting, particularly Moore Haven. Clewiston supplies the principal model for the sugar-town identity, while Moore Haven contributes to the wider lake-region influence. No earlier Grand Theft Auto appearance, prior-game version, vehicle specifications, prices, missions, or gameplay mechanics are identified for Ambrosia.
