Aircraft are the reward for exploring a GTA map’s edges. Planes sit at airports and remote airstrips; helicopters wait on hospital roofs, police pads, and airfields — you have to know where to look, and usually how to get past security.
Leonida’s spread — a major metro, a panhandle port, and a wild north — gives it room for everything from airliners to bush planes and seaplanes over the Keys.

How spawns worked in past GTA games
Across the series, aircraft spawn at fixed aviation points: international airports for planes and airliners, small airfields and airstrips for light aircraft, and rooftop or ground helipads (hospitals, police stations, military bases) for helicopters. GTA 5’s Los Santos International and Sandy Shores airfield are the template — guaranteed spawns you travel to rather than stumble upon.

No exact spawns are confirmed yet. Based on the series, expect planes at a Vice City airport and rural airstrips, and helicopters on hospital and police helipads. We will map confirmed spawns at launch.
Can you fly planes in GTA 6?
Flying has been core to GTA since San Andreas, so aircraft are expected, but Rockstar has not published a GTA 6 aircraft list. The confirmed roster arrives with the game.

No airport location is officially mapped yet. A major airport serving Vice City is the series-standard expectation. We will pin confirmed aviation spots on our interactive map at launch.
